Crossed the fears, broke the bubble.

It is natural for a secluded person to be afraid of opening up their fears and worries to others. They would never share it to others, no matter how trustworthy the other person is nor how genuine their worries are. They are always inflicted by the preoccupation of OTHERS IMAGE OF THEM. I was a person of the same kind.

The incident that had happened a few days ago changed my garb forever. The management of my institution changed the timings of our classes to fit in the freshers' classes. The new timings from 8.30-4.00 on 5 days a week would become overwhelming for day scholars. The issue within the timings is further exacerbated by the fact that, there were slots of free hours in the time table, when we would have nothing to do in particular. I would either have to roam about aimlessly in the campus or sit pondering on boring books at the impersonal and dusty library.

Normally, a silent person who would never voice their opinion out due to others  judgmental attitude; I became vocal this time. I tried to reason with the management over the issue with the change. But they didn't relent to my arguments. I was made to sit tongue tied on their counter arguments for the cause. The sad part was that, none of the others day scholars took my side, despite the issue being disadvantageous to them as well.

At first I was deeply disturbed by the futile outcome of my effort. But a deeper reflection on the situation, dawned the realization of my metamorphosed demeanor. I had forgotten my inhibitions for the first time and has boldly and independently asserted my stance. A trivial and failed attempt evoked maturity within me. This is a clear example for "fishing out of your own troubled waters" in a respectable way.

I crossed the frontiers of fear; to break the bubble of coziness.

Standing hard on the hurting boulders,

I asserted my voice for the first time.

Thus, I am about to embark on  the Life Ride-

the most challenging of all rides.
